Woah, it’s been a blink of an eye when I last celebrated my 2010, and now here it is, it’s coming to it’s closure… few more hours and Earth again revolved around Mr. Sun successfully.
Before 2010 closes, I want to enumerate, exceptional and memorable happenings this year:
5.) Ms. Universe, 4th placer, Ma. Venus Raj’s MAJOR MAJOR answer during the pageant… I think she was overcome by the pressure in the audience, the tensed feeling, and other factors, but I guess her answer was a good one, still critics put on different opinions about her.
It has been a trending topic all around the internet, some have gotten it into different spoof shows, but still Venus was not that much affected with those things, what’s important is she brought home a title as 4th placer, a place not too easy too achieve.

Ma. Venus Raj's major major answer.
4.) Charice Pempengco’s appearance on the musical show Glee (Season 2). For the avid Filipino viewers of Glee, Charice’s appearance as Sunshine Corazon, was a big blast that made fans go gaga. Some said that she shoudn’t have appeared on Glee, yet some fans of glee at the same time Charice’s, said it’s all worth it.
Charice’s role was Sunshine Corazan, a filipino foreign exchange student, that became Rachel’s rival into singing. Her encounter with Rachel on the Comfort room was the main attraction, they sung “Telephone by Lady Gaga” , and another hit was when Charice sang, “Listen from the Dream girls” for the audition.

3.) Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Movie Part 1. It was shown this November 2010, it’s the first part of the movie, due to the lengthy story of the Last book, it was divided into two, the second part will be on July 2011. I don’t have much to say, I haven’t watched it yet. Haha. But if I’d base on the book, it can be summed up as the rising of the Dark Army, the rise of the Death eaters with the Lord Voldemort that invaded Hogwarts.

2.) Manila Hostage Crisis (August 2010). This was a very shocking event, I noticed my mom’s focused on our television when I got home from school, At first, I didn’t take too seriously, I mean, I think it was just a normal hostage drama that can be resolved by the authorities immediately. The Hostage started at around noon, when the hostage taker, Rolando Mendoza took over a tourist bus, that carries tourists from HongKong.
He wanted his position as a police officer back, That was his reason for doing the hostage, but the authorities cannot just give the authority back, right away, different persons did the negotiation to Mendoza, but still the offers didn’t work, Mendoza became very enraged when the police asked his brother for an interrogation, yet Mendoza’s brother didn’t want to go, but the police used physical force to Mendoza’s brother.
But when Mendoza did not surrender, the authorities exercised assault on the hostage taker, it came to a point that tourists were killed from gun shots… 8 were killed and others were set free by Mendoza and some were slightly injured and the hostage taker was also killed.

1.) Manny “Pacman” Pacquiao won over Antonio Margarito for his 8th world boxing title. This was the Big match of 2010, for the Filipinos and the Mexicans. Well, I’m not a sports enthusiast that’s why i can’t comment much on this event still it was a great punch of victory for our “Pambansang Kamao” Manny ‘Pacman’ Pacquiao and another point for the Philippines in the field of sports! :)

Pacquiao VS. Margarito
Well, that’s why 2010 is unforgettable, I wonder what awaits for 2011, well, good luck everyone!
